FRIDAY – SEPTEMBER 4, 2009 -- EAST COURSE, ANDREWS AFB, MD
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Captain’s Choice/Scramble format (Shotgun Start): White Tees (Men) and Red Tees (Women) - Carts and beverages included in the tournament fee.
2. One minimum drive required per player.
3. Three mulligans max per person – NO SHARING! You have to purchase them in order to use them. It can be used anywhere, except for Competition Holes.
4. You can move your ball within one club length on the fairway, but no closer to the hole. You may not improve your lie if on the green, in the rough or sand, i.e. you must hit from the rough or sand.
5. PACE OF PLAY: Due to time constraints imposed by the golf course, if you are 2 over par whether on the green or fairway, please pick up and move on to the next tee.
6. Turn in team scores to the tournament coordinator or any staff member.
7. The teams finishing on the competition holes are requested to pick up the markers and turn them into the tournament coordinator or any staff member at the clubhouse.
8. Most important! Have FUN!!!
PRIZES
The top three teams in A, B, and C Flights will be awarded and will be determined by the total team entries (ie., if 30 teams, 1st 10 scores is A, 2nd 10 scores is B, and 3rd 10 scores is C). Separate prizes for men and women will be awarded on these holes:
*Longest Drives: #12 (men) --- #14 (women)
*Closest-to-the-Pin: #15 (men) --- #3 (women)
*Closest-to-the-Line: #1 (men) --- #6 (women)
** Drives must stay in the fairway in order to be considered for the longest drive. Closest to the pin must be on the green. No mulligans allowed on competition holes! A player can win no more than two different competition holes.
AWARDS FIESTA: The Golf Fiesta to hand out awards and feast on Chamorro cuisine will be held after the tournament behind The Club at Andrews.
DIRECTIONS TO FIESTA: From the golf course, exit to the left and then right on Virginia Ave, make a u-turn at the first break on the median and turn left towards the gate. Go straight on Virginia Ave and proceed to the dead end at Menoher Dr and turn right. Turn left at Arnold Ave and proceed to “The Club” on the left before the intersection with N Perimeter Rd. The Picnic Area is at the rear of the club, past the parking lot.
